The Rivertown Fest is a rocking annual block party in Downtown Altavista. It’s where cool river water and piping hot grills meet — with a side of live entertainment and a car show! This family-friendly event has a $5.00 entrance fee. Children 8 and under get free admission.

And all for a good cause! The funds raised from this event will be reinvested via grants into downtown Altavista to further Altavista On Track’s (AOT) revitalization mission. AOT is a nationally accredited 501(c)3 nonprofit and an affiliate of the National Main Street and Virginia Main Street programs. In partnership with the Town of Altavista, we work to provide business assistance to downtown businesses while also organizing family-friendly community events that bring people downtown throughout the year.
